Forest lodges

Across our site you’ll find dog-friendly spacious, accessible, lodges amongst the forest in secluded areas, offering modern, well-priced accommodation for all.

There are three options in our 8 available lodges (sleeping up to 12, 13 or 17), depending on your sleeping arrangements, providing plenty of space. The lodges are modern, spacious, and well equipped.

The site also offers complimentary casual use, for all on-site resident Badaguish guests, of the facilities of The Shieling (BBQ bothy area), an outdoor covered Sports Arena and Football Pitch (unless reserved for sole private use and subject to availability).

The lodges are ideal for short/long breaks, meetings, training courses, as a conference venue or for bringing a group of friends/family for a holiday or special occasion.

All lodges have:

Ground floor

Two bedrooms – one of which is an en-suite

  • Sleeps 12 lodges: two twin rooms (1 en-suite) + pull out bed in en-suite room
  • Sleeps 13 lodge: two twin rooms (1 en-suite)
  • Sleeps 17 lodges: two 4-bedded bunk rooms (1 en-suite)

Lounge/dining room: large, accessible, comfortably furnished open plan area, satellite TV.

Accessible shower/wet room

Fully equipped kitchen: cooker/oven, microwave fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle, crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, glassware, vacuum cleaner, ironing board & iron, washing machine & tumble dryer.

First floor

Four bedrooms – two of which are en-suite. The configuration depends on the lodge:

  • Sleeps 12 lodges: 1 en-suite 2 bedroom, 1 en-suite 3-bedroom, 2 single bedrooms
  • Sleeps 13 & 17 lodges: 1 en-suite 4-bedded bunk, 1 en-suite 3-bedded bunk, 2 single bedrooms

Shower room

Accessibility features

Ground floor designed to be accessible for people using wheelchairs or who have mobility issues.

Low height bench in dining/kitchen area for wheelchair/seated access use. Extra-large shower room with toilet transfer bars.

Possible loan of profile bed, manual hoist and/or shower chair (limited supply so advanced pre-booking essential).

Lodge parking

There is designated parking for 3 cars at each lodge, all additional vehicles can be parked at the main car park at the site entrance.

What you need

You need to bring

Everything for self-catering, but especially:

  • Towels & tea towels
  • Washing up liquid & sponge
  • Dishwasher tablets
  • Washing powder & conditioner
  • Toilet rolls

If required:

  • Cot and/or highchair
  • BBQ materials (including matches) – these can be purchased from Aviemore. 

We supply

  • Non-feather/down pillows (and pillowcases)
  • Duvets (with covers)
  • Fitted bottom sheets
  • BBQ (charcoal/fuel etc not provided)

PLEASE NOTE

Gas and electricity

Gas and electricity are charged at cost via meter reading on departure day. Badaguish has no mains gas therefore gas charges may be higher than you are used to. We can give you some guidance on average costs from previous guests to help you budget for your stay, and would recommend a around £25/30 per lodge per night.

Bond

On the day of your arrival, we will pre-authorise £250 per lodge on the card you provided previously as a bond, payment will be taken on the day of your departure to cover the following costs incurred during your stay. Card authorisation will be released a few days after your stay depending on your bank.

Dogs

Well-behaved dogs are welcome in our lodges. The cost is £25 per dog per stay. Separate arrangements apply rescue dog groups; please contact us for details.

Linen change

If guests require linen change during one week stay (subject to availability):

  • Fresh Linen – price per set £10
  • Linen Change and Stayover Cleaning (toilet & lounge) £50
  • Linen Change and Departure Cleaning (full clean) £100

Breakages

Centre guests and their visitors are responsible for all breakages / damages which will be charged at cost, including damaged or lost keys where there will be a minimum of £50 charged.

Excess cleaning charge

Up to £150 per lodge – an excess cleaning charge will be applied if accommodation is found to be in an unsatisfactory condition just prior to departure.

2026 Prices*

17 sleeper – £439 per night, 3 night minimum

12/13 sleeper – £419 per night, 3 night minimum

  • Some 2-night stays available at off-peak times, check booking calendar, orange button above or let us know if we can assist with any booking requirement.

Festive period (Christmas and New Year)

All lodges £599 per night, 4 night minimum.

  • Metered gas & electricity charged at cost.

Deposit: 50% non-refundable deposit paid when booking.

Balance: payable 45 days prior to arrival.

Arrival Time: from 4.00pm

Departure Time: no later than 10.00am.
