Please ensure you have fully read the following Terms & Conditions before booking any accommodation or facilities at Badaguish. Should you have any questions of queries, please email us at bookings@badaguish.org.
DEPOSIT AND PAYMENTS
To secure a booking following an enquiry either online, by phone or by email, the following deposits must be paid at the time of booking.
- Lodges: 50% non-refundable deposit at time of booking. 50% balance non-refundable payment no later than 45 days prior to the booked arrival date by credit/debit card.
- Camping Pods: Full non-refundable payment at time of booking.
- Facilities: Full non-refundable payment at time of booking.
- Camping: Full non-refundable payment at time of booking.
All payment must be made by credit/debit card.
Should a material change be made to any confirmed booking, an administration fee of ;
- Heated Camping Pod – £10
- Camping – £10
- Facilities – £10
- Lodge – £40
will be levied.
No part or whole of any booking may be sublet by the client without prior written permission.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We strongly recommend you take travel insurance to cover loss caused by severe weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. If circumstances arise and you need to cancel your booking the following will apply to Lodges.
Cancellation more than 45 days prior to date of arrival, loss of deposit, balance payment not required. Cancellation less than 45 days prior to date of arrival – full balance is payable. . If you fail to pay the outstanding balance by the 45-day deadline, we reserve the right to cancel the booking with no monies refunded.
For all other accommodation / facilities – loss of full payment deposit.
ADDITIONAL TEMPORARY COVID 19 CANCELLATION POLICY
This applies to all bookings made from 8 February 2021
Any booking that is disrupted by COVID 19 national lockdown or local restrictions that result in the closure of Badaguish will be eligible to 1 future booking to be taken within 6 months from the date of cancellation, subject to availability. Seasonal rate charges will apply. Should this not be practical, a refund will be given.
This does not cover you or members of your party being subject to a local restriction that does not result in the closure of Badaguish. Equally you are not covered if you or a member of your party are unable to travel, if you or a member of your party falls ill with COVID or are required to quarantine or self-isolate or if numbers are effected by imposed household ‘bubble’ restrictions. These events can be covered by you taking out travel insurance.
We strongly recommend that you take travel insurance to cover loss caused by COVID- 19 or any other unforeseen circumstances.
HOUSE RULES
Breach of these will require any visitor to vacate the premises immediately with no monies refunded. Please respect them:
- No noise outside after 11pm
- No excess alcohol
- No rowdy behaviour
- No abuse of facilities or equipment
- No smoking inside any of our buildings
- Please use the Recycle and Refuse Point
- Observe speed limits, please use proper car parking areas, and do not go on the grass areas with a vehicle
- Do not damage surrounding trees and grass areas
- Remember there are often children playing on the site and undertaking activities
- The Pyramid Climber, Monkey Rings and Bike Park can be used at your own risk, however, please make sure young children are supervised when playing on equipment, at the Bike Park or near the pond
- Please exercise your dog off-site in the surrounding forest
- No anti-social behaviour (including whilst under the influence of drugs or alcohol)
- Be courteous to fellow residents and keep noise levels down, particularly at night
- No fireworks
- Read and be aware of the fire plan, BBQ regulations, and fire equipment

ARRIVAL DAY:
All accommodation is available from 4pm. Please collect keys from reception.
If you are likely to arrive after 5pm, please follow the late arrival instructions provided on the booking confirmation email and Arrivals Notice at reception.
Lodges: As a bond, we pre-authorise £150 per lodge on the credit/debit card you previously provided to us; payment will be taken on your departure day to cover the following costs incurred during your stay and card authorisation will be released a few days after your stay depending on your bank.
DEPARTURE DAY:
All accommodation must be vacated by 10.00am. Please note the following:
Lodges:
- Gas and Electricity used: charged at cost via meter reading on departure day. Badaguish has no mains gas therefore gas charges may be higher than you are used to. We can give you some guidance on average costs to help you budget for your stay. You will receive a fuel charge email, with link to pay, after departure. This to be paid within 7 days or further charges may apply. Guests who have card details supplied will have fuel costs authorised automatically.
- Excess cleaning charge: up to £150 cleaning charge (depending on condition) per lodge will be applied if the lodge and surrounding area are found to be in an unsatisfactory condition just prior to departure.
- Centre guests and their visitors are responsible for all breakages/damages which will be charged at cost, including damaged or lost keys where there will be a minimum of £50 charged.
Camping Pods:
- Leave the pod neat and tidy with no rubbish inside.
- No food is to be left in the fridges.
- Any items left behind in a pod must be claimed within 2 weeks of departure. Left property procedure (if requires posting) – Contact us immediately when aware of loss (email bookings@badaguish.org). If found, you will be required to send us a stamped (to the correct cost), self-addressed relevant sized envelope, Jiffy bag etc. We will then post back to you via The Royal Mail. We are not responsible for any loss or damage throughout this process.
- We reserve the right to charge to the credit/debit card details given on booking, an additional fee should the pod be left in an unsatisfactory condition (minimum £15 additional cleaning charge) or if there is any damage to the pod or the furnishings therein (actual cost of repair /placements).
- Centre guests and their visitors are responsible for all breakages/damages which will be charged at cost, including damaged or lost keys where there will be a minimum of £50 charged
Tent Camping:
- Leave the camping pitch clean with no rubbish around the area.
- Any items left behind in a pod must be claimed within 2 weeks of departure. Left property procedure (if requires posting) – Contact us immediately when aware of loss (email -bookings@badaguish.org). If found, you will be required to send us a stamped (to the correct cost) , self-addressed relevant sized envelope, Jiffy bag etc. We will then post back to you via The Royal Mail. We are not responsible for any loss or damage throughout this process.
- We reserve the right to charge to the credit/debit card details given on booking, an additional fee should the area be left in an unsatisfactory condition or if there is any damage to the shared facilities or the furnishings therein (actual cost of repair /placements).
- Centre guests and their visitors are responsible for all breakages/damages which will be charged at cost.
Facilities
- Leave the facility neat and tidy with no rubbish inside.
- Any items left behind in a pod must be claimed within 2 weeks of departure. Left property procedure (if requires posting) – Contact us immediately when aware of loss (email -bookings@badaguish.org). If found, you will be required to send us a stamped (to the correct cost), self-addressed relevant sized envelope, Jiffy bag etc. We will then post back to you via The Royal Mail. We are not responsible for any loss or damage throughout this process.

PET POLICY
Well-behaved dogs are welcome in lodges and for day visitors to the site.
- Guests must inform Badaguish in advance if bringing a dog to stay. This can be done by adding your pets via an online booking or emailing bookings@badaguish.org
- The charge for a lodge booking is £25 per dog per stay.
- Separate arrangements apply to support and rescue dog groups: please contact us for details (bookings@badaguish.org.)
- There is a maximum of 4 dogs per lodge.
- Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and exercised off-site.
- Dogs should not be left alone in lodges.
- Owners must clean up all mess, and an additional cleaning charge of up to £150 per lodge (depending on condition) will apply if the accommodation or surrounding areas are found to be in an unsatisfactory condition on departure.
- If any damage occurs, it will be charged at replacement cost.
TENT CAMPING VEHICLES
Not allowed on the grassed area unless briefly for loading/unloading with the prior permission.
GENERAL
- For supermarket deliveries, please ensure the details of accommodation are provided on placing the order, and someone from your group must be present (after 4pm if arrival day) on receiving the delivery. Badaguish takes no responsibility for any deliveries to onsite guests.
- Low Noise Policy Site: Please consider other guests and keep the noise levels to a minimum especially after 11.00 pm. Guests must inform the Warden (or another member of Badaguish’ staff) as soon as possible of any disturbances/problems with other site guests. Guests should not attempt to resolve such situations themselves. Please do not disturb the Warden after 8pm unless strictly necessary.
- Visitors must not interfere with any Centre services or equipment and should contact a member of staff for assistance when required.
- All accidents, breakages or defects should be reported promptly and will be charged at replacement’s cost.
- There is usually a Warden on the site to advise/assist guests. Guests must inform the Warden (or another member of Badaguish’ staff) as soon as possible of any disturbances/problems with other site guests. Guests should not attempt to resolve such situations themselves. Please do not disturb the Warden after 8pm unless strictly necessary.
- Weather Conditions: It is the client’s responsibility to get to Badaguish for the booking whatever weather conditions prevail.

This agreement is subject to Scottish law.
Prices quoted on our website and other marketing materials are subject to change. We reserve the right to amend these prices and Terms and Conditions at any time.
Events out of our control (force majeure) – we shall not be liable or responsible for anything that is caused by events outside our reasonable control (such as serious damage to the venue, serious adverse weather conditions, a pandemic or epidemic, or interruption or failure of utility services such as electric power, gas or water). In these circumstances, we shall use every effort to notify you as soon as is reasonably practical.
TOP 10 THINGS TO REMEMBER
- Check-in is from 4pm, departure by 10am. Pod guests – bring £1 coins for electricity card machine. Usually £1 per day usage per pod. Lodges guests – please refrain from touching/altering any controls in the lodges. Pod guests remember to bring bedding, sleeping bag or duvet as this is not included.
- On arrival, go to the reception. If you arrive after 5pm or reception is closed, check the arrivals note on the reception window, you will see your name against your allocated accommodation along with other useful information you will require.
- ON DEPARTURE, LODGES – bag all used linen into the laundry bags provided (include pillowcases, duvet covers, sheets, tea towels and oven gloves. Separate and recycle rubbish (glass, plastic, fold cardboard and general waste) and take all rubbish to our recycling centre skips (fenced) beside reception. Load dishwasher and switch on before departure. The lodges are metered for gas and electricity. You will receive an electronic invoice after departure. Please pay as soon as practicable.
ON DEPARTURE, PODS – separate and recycle rubbish (glass, plastic, fold cardboard and general waste) and take all rubbish to our recycling centre skips (fenced) beside reception. Load the dishwasher and switch on before departure.

- Return keys to reception. There are charges for keys not returned.
- There is no smoking in any of the Badaguish properties, buildings or facilities. There are charges if evidence of smoking found.
- Observe speed limits during stay, on entry, exit and around the site and only use designated parking areas. If required, use the main car park on the right-hand side as you enter the site, immediately after the mini roundabout. Do not drive/park on grassed areas.
- Please ensure all shared areas, toilets and showers are left clean, tidy and as you found them. Please remove any rubbish and possessions.
- Be courteous to fellow residents, staff and visitors. Please keep noise levels down, especially at night.
- Please report any issues/damages caused as soon as practicable and before departure.
