Q: Are there any additional charges for a stay at Badaguish?
- Lodges – the electricity and gas are metered; you will receive a balance after departure. Please budget for around £20 per night.
- Pods – the pods have an electricity card meter. The £1 cards can be sourced from a machine in the Jubilee Building (kitchens, showers, toilets) in the centre of the site. The machine accepts £1 coins. Average usage is £1 per night. The cost of any additional cleaning, breakages, damage, or missing items will be charged to the guest.
Q: Can the lodges be configured differently/move the interior furniture?
Unfortunately, the beds and furniture cannot be moved/configured differently, and this is not permitted. Please see the lodge floor plans.
Q: Will someone be there to meet us when we arrive?
Our reception is not always staffed. Please see the arrivals information on the exterior window or email us at bookings@badaguish.org with any pre-arrival enquiries.
Q: What if there is a problem during my stay?

Q: Is there Wi-Fi available?
Yes, there is complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the site. Please see your pre-arrival email or check within your accommodation for details and password. Please understand, due to our forest location, the Wi-Fi signal and strength may be weaker than in other areas.
Q: What happens if I can’t get there, due to bad road conditions or other travel issues?
We always advise our guests to take appropriate travel insurance cover.
Q: Can I order/get a supermarket food delivery to Badaguish?
Yes, several supermarkets deliver such as Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys.
Please ensure you select a delivery time when you are on site and after the 4 pm arrival time. Our staff are not able to accept deliveries.
Q: Can you have a hen, stag party or wedding at Badaguish?
Badaguish is not suited to hen, stag or similar parties however, we do host a limited number of wedding events per year.

Q: What are the local travel links to Badaguish?
Please be aware that any postcode in the Highlands of Scotland covers a large area and we would recommend using the directions below as any SATNAV device may not be accurate.

Travelling north
Drive on A9 and take the first turn-off to Aviemore, signposted Aviemore (B9152) Coylumbridge (B970). This junction is on your right-hand side, approximately 2 miles south of Aviemore.
Travel the 2 miles on the B9152 until you come to a roundabout, take the 3rd exit marked B970 Coylumbridge.
Travel approximately 5 miles until you see a sign for Badaguish on your left-hand side. Turn left at the junction and travel approximately 1 mile on the single-track road, through the forest until you come toBadaguish Forest Lodges, Eco – Pods and Group Camping Centre.
Travelling south
Drive on the A9 and take the second turn-off to Aviemore, signposted Aviemore (B9152) Coylumbridge (B970). This junction is on your left-hand side, approximately 2 miles south of Aviemore.

Travelling east
Drive through Aviemore until you come to a roundabout, and take the 1st exit marked B970 Coylumbridge.

Take the train to Aviemore and follow the directions above. There is a service bus to Glenmore or excellent local taxi firms. Both the bus stop and taxi rank are situated outside the train station. - By plane
Inverness is the nearest airport. Badaguish is approximately 45 min drive from the airport, see above for directions. - By bus
Service number 34 leaves Aviemore from outside the Police Station and also from the Railway Station Interchange. Buses leave hourly from 09.15 hrs until 17.15 hrs. Please check travelinescotland.com for a current timetable. The new Adventure Bus (Aviemore/Cairngorm Mountain) is also worth checking. The journey takes around 15 minutes. You will then need to walk about 20 mins from Glenmore to Badaguish. - By taxi
There are excellent local taxi firms in Aviemore with a rank outside the train station. The journey to Badaguish takes only 5-10 minutes.

Badaguish can be easily reached by an off-road cycle track from Aviemore – around 8 miles.
From the railway station turn left, past the petrol station and then turn left down a path which takes you under the railway. Turn right, and after 150m cross the river by the Old Bridge and onto the cycle path which runs alongside the B970. 45 mins here, 25 mins return.
Q: Is there a minimum stay?
- Lodges – 3 nights during the year, 4 nights during the festive period.
- Pods – 2 nights over a weekend or festive period.
- Tent camping – No.

Q: Does Badaguish provide any catering?
No, Badaguish offers self-catering accommodation and facilities. We can supply details of local caterers if required.
Q: Does Badaguish offer Respite or Supported Care stays?
No, unfortunately, Badaguish does not currently offer Respite or Supported Care stays.
Q: Is the accommodation at Badaguish accessible to all?
Yes, our lodges are fully accessible on the ground floor. We also have a limited stock of hoists and shower chairs. These can be reserved, subject to availability, on booking.
Q: What is the Badaguish policy for BBQ usage?
Due to our forest location, we have a daily fire risk assessment and rules for the safety of all. Please see details at reception for any daily restrictions.
Q: Are campervans or caravans permitted at Badaguish?
No, unfortunately, Badaguish does not permit caravans or campervans of any type onsite. This is due to local Government restrictions and licensing.
Q: Can I extend my stay once here?
Yes, please contact us at bookings@badaguish.org to extend your stay, subject to availability.
Q: What do I do before departure?
All accommodation must be vacated by 10 am. Keys should be returned to reception. If not staffed, please place through keys return letter box to the left of the reception door.
- Lodges – please leave the lodge and area tidy with all possessions removed. All rubbish should be removed and deposited in the recycling centre by reception.
- Camping pods – please leave the pod and area tidy with all possessions removed. All rubbish should be removed and deposited in the recycling centre by reception.
- Tent Camping – please leave the area tidy with all possessions removed. All rubbish should be removed and deposited in the recycling centre by reception.
Q: Does the site have any EV charging stations?
Unfortunately, there are no EV charging onsite at Badaguish. However, there are several stations nearby in Aviemore.
